We went to the lakehouse finally. After Maren kept begging and begging to go. All year round she kept telling people we have two houses, but one of them is far, far away. The girls had a great time swimming all day long. After a full day playing in the lake we took them to see the movie "UP" and went for a late dinner and dessert at Chili's. (I just got the dessert of course.)

*THE GIRLS DOING THEIR SUMMER WORK*
During the summer, I have the girls do worksheets - even at the lakehouse. They enjoy it b/c they get to color and Alexa gets to practice what she learned at school during the year. We worked on our worksheets early in the morning after we ate breakfast until it warmed up enough for the girls to swim.

*ALEXA'S LAST DAY OF 1ST GRADE*
This was the best picture I could get of Alexa's last day of First Grade with Miss Meyer. She was eager to run off into class. Of course Maren hopped right into the picture as well! It's a little fuzzy, but it works :)

*MAREN IN GEORGIA*
I had to go to Georgia for some military training. Luckily enough it was the same base that Grandpa Hauk was stationed on. We couldn't bring Alexa because she was in her last few weeks of school, but Maren got to tag along. While I was at training, she stayed with Grandma Hauk all day. She seemed to have a blast playing with Charlie and Tinker.

*MAREN BEING SILLY*
This is just a cute pic of Maren I thought I would share! She is in her window seat in her bedroom. She was pretending it was her bed.
*ALEXA'S NEW GAME*
*MAREN AND HER BABY DOLLS*
*ALEXA'S THE STAR OF THE SHOW*
Alexa had her Ocean Program today at school in front of all the parents. She was one of the four people in her class selected to have lines in the program. She memorized them right off the bat and did a great job. She is a natural when it comes to memorizing. I tried to find a great picture, but for some reason they all seem to be dark. However, I did find one of her doing the yellow submarine, which was one of her favorite parts in the play.
