* MAREN'S 100th DAY AT SCHOOL & HER BDAY*

MAREN'S school had a 100 item fashion show and it happened to be her birthday. It was our job to decorate the shirt at home with 100 items of whatever Maren wanted. I wanted to make it super special because it was her birthday, so we went to Hobby Lobby to find something. We found cupcakes and hearts and I also found a iron on that said "birthday girl" on it.

Miss Swift had Maren go on first for their class. She said Maren was wearing a pink shirt and it had cupcakes and hearts on it because it was her birthday and she was 6.

After the show I stuck around and ate lunch with her. I also brought in cupcakes for after lunch. I am sure the kids were wound up, because later that day they also had a 100th day part with lots of goodies!

*MAREN'S BDAY PARTY AT WONDERSCOPE*

Mare chose to have her party at Wonderscope this year. We got there pretty early so we took a couple of fun shots before we went in.

Maren had fun with all of her friends. They went room to room to do all of the activities and Maren got to be the line leader. She picked each room we went to.

Maren had a great time at her party and loved seeing her friends. She got a lot of great presents. A few dolls, a couple wii games, but out of all of them, she loved the Orbee's foot spa. The girls both really wanted one for awhile now.

*MAREN'S KINDERGARTEN FEILD TRIP TO KALEIDOSCOPE*

Maren's class took a trip to kaleidoscope. I worked the puzzle maker, so I only got to see her when she popped in and out of the puzzle station.

*TUBIN'*

The girls got to go tubing today. It was snowing hard all morning long, but we were able to go out after it calmed down. We were lucky, because it picked back up after we got done.

*SKIING THE BLUES*

It was the first time the girls went out on their own out of ski school and my first time ever on skis. We started out on simple greens. At first, jay and I just went and Trevor took Maren, Alexa and Audrey. We saw them coming down the hill While we we were on the lift. Alexa was super cautious and kept in control, while Maren went kamikaze straight down the hill. It was hard to watch as she went super fast, but she tucked at the end and wiped out right before she hit the end.

My girls going up on the lift.

Trevor took Audrey back to Erin to go home and we went up a ski lift and ate lunch at the top of the mountain. After lunch, trevor met up and ended taking Alexa with him so that Jay could stay behind to coach Maren and me. Eventually we caught up with them and Trevor told us how he took Alexa down her first blue. Not to mention it was on the shaded side of the mountain, so it was pretty icy. We followed them down a blue, however, I fell behind. I eventually hit hard enough to loose both my skis. The combination of seeing the half pipe and loosing my skis, I decided to call it quits. I had no clue how I was going to make it down the half pipe with only a few hours of skiing. I ended up calling a courtesy snow mobile and getting a ride back to the base of the mountain to wait for everyone else.

Turns out Alexa went down the half pipe and did great. She said she was nervous, but wanted to show Maren it was ok. Next Maren went. Maren chose to go straight down the center, which caused her to gain crazy speed. Alexa tried grabbing her, but missed. She ended up going through the gate and wrecking losing one ski. Jay and Trevor saw her and Alexa skied over to her to check on her. She said she didn't want to do it again.

*CRESTED BUTTE VACATION*

After a 12 hour drive, almost running out of gas, getting pulled over for having high beams on, we finally made it. We got in at about midnight and of course the girls were pretty awake.

Our place we are staying at in Crested Butte.

The girls 1st day of ski school was today. They were pretty excited. It was Maren's first time and Alexa hadn't been in 4 years.

They're ready for ski school.

Jay and Trevor went out skiing while the girls went to school, so they went in and checked in on them. I came an hour early, so I could watch them for a little while too. The instructor said Maren did great, but was tired once I got there. Alexa was doing an awesome jobs at turned and looked like she had that part down.
