*TRIP TO WASHINGTON, DC*

I had to go to Washington, DC to help at a conference for the military, so jay decided to buy a ticket and come with me. A couple of weeks prior to my trip, it got cancelled. We decided to go anyway for a quick weekend getaway.
We got in pretty late on Thursday evening, but we met up with some friends to have dinner. While we were eating, the waiter mentioned that Dave Chappelle was outside. Lelaine and I decided to go out and say hi. He ended up being a really nice guy, but he wouldn't take a picture with us.
Jay had put down that we were on our honeymoon when he booked our hotel, so they had wine and dessert for us when we went to our room.

Capital

Air and space museum. We saw an author that was a historian for the Tuskegee pilots. We bought a book and had him sign it for the girls.

We had to take the picture of the pig since Alexa loves them so much.<\center>

Lincoln memorial

First day we saw all the monuments. I always wanted to see the Lincoln memorial and the Vietnam memorial. Unfortunately, the reflecting pool was under construction.

*ALEXA'S 10th BIRTHDAY*

Alexa kept reminding me that she didn't turn 10 until 11:30pm since that was the time she was born. She also explained that she was now a teenager since she was in the double digits. It is crazy to even think that my little girl is now 10.

*ALEXA'S LASER TAG BDAY PARTY*

Alexa had been talking about her 10th birthday party basically since the day after her 9th one. She really wanted a laser tag birthday. She had a really hard time narrowing her friends down to only a few unlike her last few parties.

The have the birthday girl ring the dong.

Alexa really wanted a Nook and is saving her money for one. One of her friends thought it would be funny to play a prank on her and wrap money in a Nook box. At first she was surprised, but quickly realized it was a joke. She was a good sport about it and thought it was funny.

*VISITING THE EASTER BUNNY*

We cut it close this year at visiting the Easter Bunny. We went the day before Easter. Like always, the girls both had soccer games. Instead of getting them dressed up prior to going, we figured we could keep them in their soccer gear for memories.

Afterwards, we went home and colored Easter eggs. We made the dyed eggs this year. They didn't work out great, but the girls still had fun trying.
