*MAREN'S 1ST LEGENDS SOCCER GAME*
It was Maren's first real game with her new team, Legends. The team has done several scrimmages before today and they have all been practicing very hard together for over a month now.
Maren acted a little timid today, so hopefully she starts getting competitive soon. When she played on the Leawood team, she was very confident. I know once she learns her new field, that confidence will come back.

*MAREN'S PANTHER SOFTBALL PARTY*
Maren had her Panther Team Softball pizza party tonight. She had fun with this team, because she had so many friends from school on it.
The coach did a little speech for each girl and had an individual award for each of them. Maren's was "Rocket Arm." She explained that Maren had a very strong arm and that one time she threw the ball to a coach from the other team and he looked at his coach with a shocked face. After that she teased that he looked like he would flinch every time she threw the ball.

*FIRST DAY OF SIXTH AND SECOND GRADE*
The girls started school today. It was a rainy day, but we managed to still take some of our photos. We didn't get our traditional coming out of the door and loading into the car photos due to us living with Grandma, but we still snapped several going into school.
This will be the last year the girls will be in school together for the rest of the time. They better enjoy it while they can :).
As always, Alexa would pose for the picture and Maren fought me as I snapped pictures of her. I grabbed a picture of Alexa and her new teacher, but unfortunately Maren's teacher was out sick for the first few days of school. She's the same teacher (and Alexa's Girl Scout Troop Leader) Alexa had for second grade, so we know her pretty well.
