*KIDS 1ST MU FOOTBALL GAME*

 

Jay was given MU football tickets by a friend at work to use over the Labor Day weekend.  The nice part is that we were already going to the lake for the weekend, so it was only an hour away.  It was a really hot day, but luckily we were able to bring the baby under the shade during the game to keep him out of the heat.  Plus these tickets were special seats that had free drinks and food for the entire game.  I think Maren had a million bags of chips and Alexa ate a ton of cookies.

 

If Maren wasn't already sold on the idea of going to MU, she is now.  She was just in love with the campus and asked a ton of questions about it all.  She sat to the side a little away from us watching the game and joining in on all the chants.

Forty Four Week Recap

1. Coen can officially walk.  He gets going so fast now that he will often stumble over his feet.
2. Coen said his first word, "Ball."  He babbles it all the time now and will point to all of his balls in the living room and say his favorite word.

*BOB'S 1ST GAME WITH HER NEW TEAM*

Maren started soccer on a new team this year named Blue Moose.  Believe it or not there was another little girl named Maren already on the team.  The coach asked Maren what she would like to be called instead and she decided to go by "Bob."  All the parents, coaches and teammates yelled "Bob" throughout the game.  Finally Jay and I had to join in, because we kept feeling like we were instructing the other Maren!

1. Coen has mastered the straw.  
2. He can walk one tiny step while reaching out to his next step.

*1ST DAY OF 7TH & 3RD GRADE*

Alexa is now in middle school!  I am almost nervous for her.  Hopefully she remembers where all of her classes are and what her locker combination is.

As for Maren, she's got this down.  She got several of her friends in her class and a good teacher, so this year is a great year for her!

The girls had a great final weekend before school started hanging out at the lake with all their cousins!  We even got a few shots of them all.

1. Coen stood up on his own for the first time and he can stand by himself for short periods of time.

1. Coen had toast for the first time and loved it.  He ate two pieces at dinner.
2. Coen will raise his hand if you ask him to and show him how its done
