*COEN'S WRESTLING DEBUT*

Coen tried wrestling today up north. He loved it although he still has a bunch to learn. He didn't quite understand to take down his opponent.

*WALK IN THE PARK*

These boys love each other!

*COEN'S FIRST DAY OF 3 YEAR OLD PRESCHOOL - Class of 2032*

We missed the whole first day of school opportunity last year since he started half way through the year (a slot opened up), but we snapped pictures this year.  Coen is attending his second year at Highlawn Montessori School with Mrs. Smith and Mrs. Henley.  He loves his school and is friends and went happily into the school when I dropped him off as if he didn't have a summer break at all.

After the day ended (they go from 8:45 - 11:45), we headed over to Franklin Park where the school threw a picnic for his class.  He got to meet some of the new children that would start on Monday with them.

*SOLAR ECLIPSE*

Blowing away the clouds.

We had the great opportunity to have a Solar Eclipse pass through our area on Monday, Aug 21, 2017.  We all ended up in different parts of the area.  Alexa remained at high school, Beck went to Grandma Hauks, Maren & Coen went to Weston with the Smykay's, Dad went to work in Overland Park and Mom was downtown.  This all gave us a different view of the eclipse.

I was able to grab these great shots of the eclipse with my 300mm lens capturing a Baily's Bead.  And of course Erin took pictures of all the fun they had in Weston.

*ST LOUIS TRIP - ADAMS / HAUK / BURHANS ROAD TRIP*

We had a weekend trip with Grandma Hauk, Aunt Rachel, Aunt Adrienne, Caleb and Grayson to St. Louis.

I was worried, because the boys were both sick (Coen was coughing up a storm with a fever). Luckily, we managed to stuff a lot of things into that weekend and we have a ton of memories.  First stop was City Museum and dinner at Old Spaghetti Factory.  The next day we attempted to get a picture in front of the arch, but Coen wasn't going to have anything to do with it.  I gave up and we finished out the trip at the zoo.
