*COOKIE TREE MAKING*

Grandma and Grandpa Hauk came over to make Christmas Trees with the girls. They had fun stacking cookies and spinkling the sprinkles all over the tree.

*VISITING SANTA*

We did our annual trip to Crown Center on the way to eat dinner with Grandpa and Grandma Burhans. Maren asked for a Moxie doll and Alexa told Santa that she wasn't sure what she wanted quite yet. Santa said it was fine and she still had plenty of time to decide.

Maren learns to ride her bike

I don't know how she did it, but somehow she figured it out. The night before she had ALEXA'S friend help her in the back yard, but besides that she hasn't really been interest in learning. However, the next day she took her bike to the sidewalk and she taught herself! She came running in the house screaming "daddy, daddy, come watch!". We went running out and watched her peddle down the sidewalk. I happened to grab the camera on the way out and snapped a few pictures.
Of couse the second she saw Alexa, she reminded her that she was only five and Alexa didn't learn how to ride her bike until she was 8!

*GIRLS' SCHOOL PICTURE*

Maren's kindergarten photo. Funny story with this one is that she went back for retakes. I am sure she heard "photos" and figured her mom would want a photo of her.

Alexa's 4th grade photo.

*MAREN'S SPECIAL DAY*

Maren's class picks one kid a day to be the special helper. They get to be the line leader and be in charge for the day. The teacher also allows the child to invite one special guest to come and eat lunch and read a story to the class.
I love going and seeing how special my child feels to have me there and to show me what shee does during the day. Maren was so excited and proud to be today's special helper.
The night before class she had to pick some special items to bring and choose a book she wanted me to read to her class. She picked her picture of disney's tower of terror, her pink bilibo and her stuffed elephant. She took awhile to choose her book. She finally narrowed it down to three and after awhile choose her 10 Little Dinosaurs book with the goggly eyes. The class loved that book and laughed at all of the funny names in it.
