Coen had a blast at his second birthday party.  Of course he opened a few presents and was done after he opened a bat and ball, but we were able to convince him to come back and open the rest with Jillian's help.

We had to say goodbye to Dad's car today.  

Alexa woke us up around 6 in the morning to let us know there had been an accident in front of the neighbors house. When we looked outside our dormer windows, Jay quickly noticed that his car was missing.  It took us a second to realize that it was the one smashed in the accident.  Luckily, the neighbors were able to tackle the drunk driver and hold him until police came.  At least nobody was injured during it all.  

*MAGIC WOODS - 2015*

 

 

Every year we go to Magic Woods to see the animals perform at Lakeside Nature Center.  This is the first year Alexa decided to not go, so we missed not having her there.  This was the first time that Coen had his face painted and he sat really well through the pumpkin.  He kept wanting to look at the paint during the spider, so that one didn't come out as well. 

 

It was nice that it was warm this year.  We've been some years where we froze the entire time.

We were invited to go to the Sunflower fields at Grinter Farms in Basehor, KS by the Roesners to shoot some great pictures.  A farmer plants all these sunflowers for everyone around to enjoy.  It as amazing to see them all.
