*ALEXA'S TRIP TO OMAHA ZOO*

Alexa's girl scout troop spent the night at Henry Doroly Zoo in Omaha. It was a blast. We got to sleep in the aquarium where the penguins are at. Alexa choose to sleep in the aquarium tunnel with all of her friends and I slept just a little away by the jellyfish.
We got to do so many neat things. When we first got there we were early, so we let the girls all riding with us and another van load play in the grass next to the stadium until it was time to come into the zoo.
Next the girls all sat around in a circle and learned about all the different animal's fur. They got to feel all different types of fur.
Next the girls broke up into two different groups and we took a tour of all of the different exhibits. During the day the lights are out for the nocturnal animals, so at night they are on for the animals daytime. We have been to the zoo several times, but this was the first time we went to the reptile house with the lights on! We got to go into the swamp area in the daytime, see the bats with the lights on, and all the other animals that come awake at night.
Afterwards, we came back to the aquarium and the girls got to eat pizza and watch a movie. A little later the girls got on their pj's and found a place to sleep. They got to play a little more and then all the lights shut out. The girls layed under the aquarium and nicknamed all the fish swimming in the tank.
