*ANOTHER BOO BOO FOR BEAR*
I think it's becoming a weekly thing. She seems to hurt herself that often lately. I think the reason is that she's such a dare devil and she's tough. Alexa never liked taking many risks, but for some reason Maren doesn't seem to mind.
This happened last night. Jay, me and the girls walked to Alexa's piano lessons down the street. Alexa's piano lessons are only 30 minutes, so we were just sitting on the benches talking and Maren was playing on this bronze statue of a wild boar (or pig as Maren calls it.) All of a sudden she fell off and landed head first. She started crying and was holding her head, so we ran over to her. She let go to show the boo boo and the blood was everywhere.
I went downstairs to get Alexa from her piano lesson and Jay and Maren (and Rollie) headed back with Maren in her stroller. We were able to catch up with them by running and Maren looked pretty bad. Blood covered her entire head and had ran down into her eyes.
I ran home to get everything ready for when Jay got there with Maren. I soaked a towel in warm water. Alexa took Rollie and walked her home and put her in the back yard. Then Maren came home. By then she wasn't crying at all, but she refused to take a bath to get the blood out of her hair.
We don't usually try to bribe the girls, but sometimes you have too. I told her I would get her any toy she wanted if she took a bath (I really wanted to see her cut.) She said that instead she wanted a Strawberry Shortcake Toothbrush. I told her that it was a deal, but then she quickly changed it to 5 toothbrushes. I figured still a deal (you can always use a toothbrush.)
We finally got her all scrubbed up and found the gash on tope of her forehead. For such a small cut - a lot of blood came pouring out.
Afterwards we all cuddled on the couch watching Bolt and eating popcorn.
